Freshman Applicant Information – Bachelor of Science — Nursing Science. Admission Criteria and Application Instructions. Freshman applicants who wish to be considered for the major must first also be admitted to UC Irvine. Students interested in entering as freshmen must complete two years of high school laboratory science in the core areas of biology and chemistry, earning a C or higher for all grades.
